The Waukesha County Heroin Task Force (HTF)  is dedicated to a coordinated and comprehensive approach to build an alliance that engages the community and creates conditions that reduce the  impact of substance use.   The task force identifies and collaborates with key community stakeholders  to work together to break the cycle of substance use through community action and hope!.  

Over the past several years, the Heroin Task Force (HTF) has been working collaboratively across Waukesha County with a vision to reduce the impact of the opioid epidemic in Waukesha County by implementing a collective community approach. Click here to see some of our accomplishments in 2023!

Stigma Reduction

Working to create a world where people who use drugs or alcohol are not discriminated against or judged. See the Code of Ethics in English or Spanish for HTF presenters created by this action team!

Supporting Recovery

Providing recovery support both for individuals and their families battling substance use disorder. The Support Recovery Action Team collaborated to create a community resource guide.

CHIP Substance Use Action Team

Creating opportunities to improve policies to support system level changes..

Metrics and Measurement

Improving data literacy and standardizing metrics among HTF community partners to measure progress and determine outcomes.
